Airbus is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru/Bangalore, specializing in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and Cameo Systems Modeler plugin development. This role is crucial for implementing and enhancing our MBSE capabilities. You will work within a specialized tooling ecosystem, requiring strong analytical skills, an investigative mindset, and the autonomy to navigate complex, evolving toolsets. You will be responsible for understanding business needs, evaluating architectural solutions, designing, developing, debugging, and maintaining Java-based plugins for Cameo Systems Modeler. This includes creating and manipulating UML/SysML models, writing and automating tests, managing plugin packaging, and collaborating with the DevOps team for CI/CD implementation. You will also investigate and resolve complex tool issues and contribute to technology watch regarding MBSE. A strong foundation in Java, end-to-end software engineering principles, and experience with MBSE concepts (SysML/UML, Cameo Systems Modeler Open API) are essential. Familiarity with DevOps tools and Eclipse Modeling Framework-based tools is a plus. We are looking for a curious, detail-oriented team player passionate about solving problems with software.
