Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer to drive complex initiatives. This role involves leading the design, development, testing, and implementation of applications and system components using sophisticated technologies. You will be responsible for ensuring system monitoring for operational efficiency and risk mitigation, identifying opportunities for resource optimization, and improving processes to reduce costs. A key aspect of this position is resolving technically challenging coding, testing, and platform issues. You will lead teams to meet compliance and risk management requirements, collaborate with stakeholders on risk initiatives, and mentor less experienced engineers. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role where you will also serve as a technical resource, provide consultation on supported applications, and ensure quality, security, and compliance.
**Key Responsibilities:** * Lead complex software engineering initiatives. * Design, develop, test, and implement applications and system components. * Resolve escalated technical issues and platform problems. * Ensure compliance and risk management requirements are met. * Mentor junior software engineers. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
**Required Qualifications:** * 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
**Desired Qualifications:** * 5+ years of Full-Stack Development experience, including single-page applications using Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frameworks/libraries (e.g., React.js, Bootstrap). * Experience developing and maintaining large-scale applications using Java, Python, Go, GCP public cloud, and other relevant technologies. * Experience deploying containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. * 3+ years of Cloud Native experience with Google Cloud, including developing and deploying cloud-native solutions. * Experience with Terraform development. * 2+ years of experience designing and developing Generative AI frameworks and solutions. * Proven track record (5+ years) in designing and developing enterprise-grade applications with scalability, security, and performance in mind. * Agility and a self-starter mindset, with the ability to iterate quickly and adapt to evolving requirements.
