Join Zendesk's Data Platform team as a Staff Software Engineer in Pune, Maharashtra. You will play a key role in building and evolving our globally distributed data services platform, leveraging powerful cloud technologies like Amazon Web Services and Snowflake. This autonomous role offers the opportunity to significantly impact Zendesk's product family by developing foundational data services that power customer-facing reporting, machine learning initiatives, and internal product analytics.
You will be responsible for crafting, developing, and delivering high-quality, well-tested code to production. Your work will involve designing and implementing key features, investigating and optimizing data pipelines for efficiency and throughput, and solving complex technical challenges with passion and leadership. You'll contribute to establishing standard methodologies and mentoring team members.
Ideal candidates possess extensive experience in software development and data engineering, with a proven track record of building scalable data platforms and reliable data pipelines. Proficiency in Java, Python, or Scala, along with experience in AWS or similar cloud environments, Snowflake, and DBT is essential. Familiarity with Kubernetes, data modeling, and ETL processes is also highly valued. This is a hybrid role, requiring a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.
