Wells Fargo Foundation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead complex technical initiatives and contribute to strategic planning. You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting software for projects and programs. This role involves evaluating technologies, resolving technical challenges, and collaborating with peers and management to achieve project goals. You will also provide guidance to less experienced staff and act as an escalation point.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using .NET Core / ASP.NET Core and React.js.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs.
- Develop and execute unit tests using xUnit (backend) and Jest (frontend).
- Implement and maintain automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Design, optimize, and maintain SQL Server databases, including query tuning and performance optimization.
- Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Manage and monitor batch workflows using AutoSys.
- Apply GenAI and Agentic frameworks for intelligent automation.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and cross-team collaboration.
**Required Qualifications:**
* 5+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent.
**Desired Qualifications:**
- Proficiency in C#, .NET Core / ASP.NET Core, React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS.
- Expert-level SQL Server skills (T-SQL, performance tuning, indexing, transactions).
- Experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit, Jest) and automation testing & CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and analytics.
- Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
- Understanding of security best practices (OAuth, JWT, OWASP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- An ownership mindset and ability to thrive in Agile environments.
