Accenture is seeking a Senior Custom Software Engineer with expertise in Workday Talent Management to join our team in Gurugram, Haryana. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale, complex projects, including greenfield implementations, transformations, and migrations. This role is critical for turning around challenging projects, requiring the ability to assess current states, define recovery solutions, and execute plans with minimal impact on cost, schedule, and scope.
You will manage delivery recovery efforts end-to-end, stabilize and realign projects facing significant challenges, and ensure adherence to delivery governance frameworks aligned with TDLC, Agile, or SAFe methodologies. Responsibilities include re-baselining delivery plans, managing risks and issues proactively, and enhancing Delivery Experience (DEX) while reducing Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ). You will build trust with stakeholders through structured communications and support executive reviews. Experience in tracking key schedule, quality, and financial metrics, identifying cost leakages, and leading commercial resets is essential. You will also ensure compliance with internal audits, InfoSec requirements, and quality gates. This role requires hands-on experience with enterprise platforms like SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday, o9 Solutions, or other supply chain platforms, and expertise in business domains such as Finance, HR, Supply Chain Management, or Customer Experience.
We value candidates with experience in Agile and SI delivery principles, a focus on transformation excellence, and strong stakeholder satisfaction. You will manage day-to-day execution, sprint coordination, issue tracking, team-level quality management, and team coaching. Creating project plans, tracking schedules, costs, and quality, and managing RAID logs are key aspects of this position. Experience with Application Modernization and exposure to GenAI technologies are considered advantageous. Mentoring technical teams, developing reusable assets, and overseeing knowledge transition are also part of this role. Minimum 13-15 years of experience in Workday Talent Management is required, along with PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification, and relevant platform certifications. A 15-year full-time education is mandatory. This position is open across PAN India.
