Accenture is seeking a Custom Software Engineer with a focus on Test Automation to join our team in Bengaluru/Bangalore, Karnataka. In this role, you will analyze, design, code, and test multiple application components for various clients. You will be responsible for maintenance, enhancements, and development work within our software and embedded systems.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test frameworks. You should possess strong expertise in Python, comprehensive testing strategies, and CI/CD systems, with a proven track record of validating high-quality products. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, develop, and maintain automation tests using Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new test cases.
- Uphold test automation best practices and coding standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and coverage.
- Maintain test documentation, test plans, and defect reports.
- Debug test failures, analyze logs, and provide actionable insights to developers.
**Required Skills:**
- 3-7 years of hands-on experience in test automation using Python or Ruby.
- Proficiency with Python test frameworks like pytest, unittest, and Robot Framework.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, performance).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of Linux environments and basic shell scripting.
- Proficiency in source-code management, software building, and continuous integration.
- Familiarity with automotive ECU software development.
**Preferred Skills:**
- Knowledge of communication protocols (CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet).
- Experience with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE).
- Understanding of Cyber Security standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001:2022).
**Educational Qualification:** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a similar field (15 years of full-time education required).
