Join the Red Hat Quay Engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer in Pune, Maharashtra. You will play a key role in developing and implementing new features and fixes for Red Hat Quay, leveraging AI agentic tools to drive product adoption and growth. This collaborative role involves close work with Product Management and the Quay Engineering team, focusing on a strong engineering culture, peer accountability, and psychological safety. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing maintainable code using Python, Go, Kubernetes, and database technologies, as well as addressing bugs and security vulnerabilities. You'll contribute to business and roadmap decisions, support the Quay service by engaging with Technical Account Managers and Quality Engineers, and foster community growth through participation in meetings and open-source contributions. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience in Python or Go web application development, Kubernetes Operator development (Go), and experience with Postgres, Redis, and React. Familiarity with Git, Linux, container packaging, OCI, and the Distribution Specification is essential. Experience with agentic tools like Claude Code and AWS services is a plus. A Computer Science degree or equivalent and the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team are required. We value continuous curiosity and a passion for learning new skills.
