Join our Employee Platforms team at JPMorgan Chase as a Lead Software Engineer, where you will drive innovation in Oracle HCM Cloud Compensation & Benefits. You'll be responsible for people leadership, ensuring successful delivery, and providing technical direction. This role involves designing and developing creative, secure, and high-quality software solutions, troubleshooting complex technical problems, and automating processes to enhance system stability. You will lead evaluations of new technologies and vendors, contributing to our architectural designs and information architecture. Additionally, you'll foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect within our Software Engineering community of practice, promoting the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Develop and review secure, high-quality production code.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Lead vendor and team evaluations for architectural and technical alignment.
  • Drive awareness and adoption of new technologies through communities of practice.
  • Contribute to a diverse and inclusive team culture.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of applied software engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Compensation & Benefits solutions (e.g., Workforce Compensation, Individual Compensation, Salary, Total Rewards).
  • 2+ years of experience leading engineers and/or projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with Oracle Redwood implementations and extensions using Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VBS).
  • Solid understanding of HCM extension and integration methods: HCM REST APIs, HDL/HSDL, HCM Extracts.
  • Familiarity with SaaS/PaaS architectures.
  • Proven ability to reduce production defects through preventive design and robust testing.
  • Experience planning and executing Oracle quarterly release cycles.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable leading in large, cross-functional, agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to adjacent HCM modules (Core HR, Payroll, Absence, Talent, Recruiting/ORC).
  • Familiarity with Oracle Digital Assistant, Fast Formulas, and enterprise integration platforms.
  • Strong fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript and SQL.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent practical experience.
