Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with a strong Data Engineering focus to drive technical leadership in application modernization and platform integration. In this role, you will lead complex technology initiatives, develop engineering standards and best practices for large-scale solutions, and contribute to their design, coding, testing, and documentation. You will analyze technology solutions against business objectives, enterprise environments, and technical challenges. You will also make decisions on engineering best practices, influencing teams to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives. Collaboration with technical experts and external industry groups will be key to resolving complex issues and achieving goals. This role requires proven experience in designing and implementing robust data pipelines and a solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and microservices architecture. Experience with agentic AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures is desirable.
