Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Tableau Performance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead initiatives to design, develop, and optimize high-performance Tableau dashboards and workbooks. You will deeply analyze and tune Tableau performance, including extracts, data sources, calculations, and queries. You will also monitor and analyze Tableau performance metrics using tools like Grafana, correlating insights across the technology stack. Responsibilities include partnering with data engineering and platform teams, recommending and driving remediation actions, and establishing governance and standards for Tableau performance and design. This role requires extensive hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop, Server, or Cloud, strong performance tuning skills in enterprise environments, and experience with observability platforms. Advanced SQL skills and a solid understanding of data modeling for analytics are essential. You will also act as an escalation point and provide guidance to less experienced staff.
