About the Job
Mercor is seeking experienced Senior Software Engineers to join leading AI research labs. We connect top creative and technical talent with groundbreaking organizations. This is a remote contract role with competitive hourly compensation ($50–$70/hour).
In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement coding solutions across a range of enterprise programming languages.
- Design, evaluate, and optimize systems and build toolchains using C and Rust.
- Enhance enterprise JVM ecosystems with languages such as C#, Kotlin, Scala, and Swift.
- Optimize web and operations scripting for production environments using Ruby, PHP, and Perl.
- Contribute to scientific and quantitative computing initiatives using R.
- Work independently and asynchronously to deliver on project milestones.
Qualifications:
- Significant professional experience in at least one of the core programming domains mentioned.
- A profound understanding of language internals, development tooling, and the practical constraints of production environments.
- Proven ability to analyze edge cases, performance bottlenecks, and system design trade-offs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong written communication skills for providing feedback.
