Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Funding and Capital Liquidity (FCL) team within Corporate and Investment Banking (CIBT). This role is crucial for developing and improving metadata-driven, scalable, and high-performance data engineering platforms that support essential financial risk, liquidity, and treasury processes for Corporate Treasury. You will collaborate with technology, risk, and business partners to deliver resilient and compliant data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead moderately complex technical initiatives and deliverables.
- Contribute to strategic planning.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document projects, including upgrades and deployments.
- Evaluate and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Guide and mentor less experienced team members.
- Collaborate with peers and management to achieve goals.
Required Qualifications:
* 4+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent.
Desired Qualifications:
- 4+ years of software or data engineering experience, preferably in financial services.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, and React for building distributed systems.
- Experience with big data technologies like Apache Spark and Hadoop.
- Experience designing and operating large-scale data pipelines and frameworks.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, metadata management, and performance optimization.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and regulated environment.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and production support.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Familiarity with Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts, including Generative AI models, MCP, and agentic frameworks.
Job Expectations:
- Deliver high-quality engineering outcomes during Data Center exit migrations and DPC onboarding, focusing on validation, automation, and production readiness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable data solutions using Python, SQL, Spark, and Autosys.
- Contribute best practices and insights to the operating model and delivery processes.
- Actively develop technology and SME skills within the team.
- Take ownership of work managed by the India team.
