Accenture is seeking a skilled IBM DB2 & z/OS Software Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, coding, and enhancing custom software solutions to meet specific business needs. You will leverage modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing components across various systems and applications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining custom software solutions with a focus on IBM DB2 for z/OS.
- Performing SQL performance tuning and database utility tasks.
- Troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues.
- Collaborating with team members on design, coding, and enhancements.
- Participating in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
- Contributing to the documentation of software specifications and designs.
- Engaging in team discussions and providing solutions to technical challenges.
- Gaining expertise in DB2 for z/OS, Sysplex, and Data Sharing.
We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience in IBM DB2 for z/OS, including SQL performance tuning and general database utilities. Familiarity with RACF security administration and automation scripting (REXX, CLIST, JCL) is highly beneficial. Experience with disaster recovery planning and high-availability systems is also valuable.
