As a Software Development Engineer II, you will:
- Develop software to ensure low latency, cost-effective, highly reliable, and scalable connectivity between Alexa-enabled devices (e.g., Echo, Smart Home) and the Alexa Cloud.
- Lead and contribute to software design, development standards, team processes, and code reviews.
- Optimize software libraries for low latency, reduced CPU usage, and memory footprint.
- Deliver high-quality software within a dynamic, team-focused Agile/Scrum environment.
- Mentor and contribute to the professional development of colleagues, enhancing their technical knowledge and engineering practices.
Our team's mission is to provide robust and scalable connectivity for Alexa devices. The work you do will directly impact the speed and reliability of customer interactions with Alexa, while simplifying connection management for developers across Alexa.
This is a high-visibility role where you will be involved in the inception phase of new features and operate a critical Tier-1 Cloud Service, handling tens of billions of transactions daily.
