ACI Worldwide is seeking a Senior COBOL Developer to join our team in Pune, Maharashtra. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, enhancing, and supporting ACI's Money Transfer System (MTS), a long-standing, mission-critical transaction processing platform. You will take full ownership of designing, developing, testing, and delivering high-quality software solutions, with a strong focus on customer-specific modifications and enhancements. This position requires deep technical expertise, robust problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to navigate a complex, regulated environment. Responsibilities include providing accurate effort estimates, troubleshooting intricate software issues across various layers, and maintaining a thorough understanding of MTS application logic and system dependencies. You will also act as a subject matter expert for customer-specific modifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet all requirements and adhering to corporate policies. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, coupled with 5+ years of hands-on software development experience and strong COBOL proficiency, is required. Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills, along with clear communication abilities, are essential. Prior experience with MTS, customer-specific modification functionality, or similar high-volume financial transaction systems is preferred.
