Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer II (SDE II) to join our Digital Acceleration team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This role focuses on designing, building, and evolving scalable web services and workflows that power promotional capabilities across Amazon's Digital Acceleration (DA) businesses, including Kindle, Prime Video, and Music.
You will own and develop critical platforms for promotional management, competitive pricing intelligence, and operational automation. This full-stack role involves crafting user interfaces with modern web technologies, building robust backend services using Java on AWS, and integrating with Retail promotion systems.
Key responsibilities include making architectural decisions that balance business needs with scalability, thinking across systems for performance and extensibility, and leading technical designs. You will collaborate closely with operations, business stakeholders, and partner engineering teams, developing a deep understanding of customer workflows. You will also champion operational excellence, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to development best practices.
