About the Job
Amazon Music's Selection Monitoring team is at the forefront of building and operating massive data processing systems that power catalog intelligence across Amazon. We handle billions of products from diverse sources, including real-time feeds and pre-computed datasets, to deliver high-quality product information essential for business decisions. Leveraging parallel processing, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms, we evaluate and enhance product data on a global scale. The insights generated by our team empower other Amazon teams to make data-driven decisions, improving the customer experience.
This role involves developing cutting-edge data processing pipelines and Information Retrieval (IR) systems. You will work with diverse data streams, automatically creating structured entities from unstructured and semi-structured data. We are pushing the boundaries of large-scale distributed systems, streaming and batch processing, Elastic Computing, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and service-oriented architectures to address challenges at Amazon's immense scale.
We are seeking Software Development Engineers (SDEs) with strong technical acumen, a proven background in engineering large-scale software systems, and a passion for solving complex problems. The ideal candidate is high-performing, flexible, takes ownership of system success, and can drive solutions from design through deployment in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in processing and integrating data from multiple sources at scale, developing end-to-end solutions, and driving measurable impact. This position offers exposure to data engineering, real-time and batch processing, observability, AI, big data, and cloud-scale distributed systems.
