About the Job
Experian is seeking a Senior Staff AI/ML Engineer with a focus on Solutions Architecture to lead the end-to-end design and implementation of advanced AI/ML systems. You will be instrumental in defining reference architectures for batch and near-real-time decisioning, personalization, and customer service intelligence. This role involves critical build-vs-buy decisions for ML platforms and tools, and defining non-functional requirements such as latency, scale, resilience, privacy, and cost. You will also be responsible for hands-on model productionization across various domains including fraud detection, risk scoring, and LLM-enabled workflows, alongside designing rigorous evaluation strategies. A key aspect of this position is establishing robust MLOps, reliability, and observability standards, including CI/CD for ML, monitoring for data/model drift, and ensuring secure-by-design practices. You will partner closely with product, marketing, risk, and other stakeholders to frame problems, define success metrics, and translate business needs into measurable AI roadmaps. In this regulated environment, you will champion Responsible AI principles, governance, and privacy-aware design. This leadership role includes mentoring engineers and data scientists, establishing scalable patterns, and driving engineering excellence across teams. Success will be measured by the tangible business outcomes of AI initiatives, faster and safer model deployments, and strong stakeholder trust.
