About the Job
nskh tech is looking for a seasoned Snowflake Data Engineer with over 7 years of experience to join our remote team in India. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing our data warehousing solutions on Snowflake. This role requires deep expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, query optimization, and performance tuning to ensure efficient and scalable data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Data Modeling & Architecture:** Design and implement robust data models, including Star and Snowflake schemas, and manage fact and dimension tables (including Slowly Changing Dimensions).
- **Data Engineering:** Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for seamless data ingestion and transformation. Manage database schemas, tables, and views.
- **Performance Optimization:** Conduct query tuning, optimize Snowflake workload usage (compute and storage), and implement clustering, partitioning, and cost optimization strategies.
- **Troubleshooting:** Monitor and resolve performance bottlenecks and pipeline issues.
- **Collaboration:** Work closely with business and analytics teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective data solutions. Maintain high standards for data quality and governance.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Data Warehousing.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Dimensional Modeling), and ETL/ELT concepts.
- Proven ability in query optimization, performance tuning, and cost optimization within Snowflake.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing principles.
