Join Tableau's Online Cloud Engineering team in Bengaluru and lead the charge in bringing our industry-leading analytics software to the cloud. As an Engineering Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of Tableau Online by building scalable, secure, and cost-effective E2E CI/CD and secrets platforms. You'll guide a passionate team of developers focused on automated, reliable systems for continuous delivery at speed and scale.
Your role will involve crafting strategic roadmaps, overseeing their implementation, and designing/automating processes. You will estimate work, select appropriate tools, and proactively monitor system performance. Expect to participate in on-call rotations, identify and mitigate service issues, and collaborate across teams. We're looking for a leader with a servant leadership style, a knack for building strong, curious, and customer-empathetic teams, and a deep understanding of modern architecture patterns and engineering practices. You will mentor and grow engineers, drive vague strategic requirements into actionable deliverables, and play a key role in recruiting top talent.
This position requires a BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience, 5+ years in SaaS or large-scale systems, and 3+ years leading engineering teams (5+ engineers) and operational/DevOps teams with an on-call culture.
