Smiths Detection, a global leader in security screening technology, is seeking an experienced Data Engineering Manager to lead a team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale data platforms, including owning the data lake architecture and overseeing ETL/ELT pipelines. You will ensure compliance with data governance and security standards, drive innovation in cloud-based data engineering solutions, and mentor your team. This position requires strong technical expertise in SQL, Python, PySpark, Hadoop, GCP, and data modeling, along with leadership skills to manage distributed teams and budgets. You will collaborate with architects and analysts to deliver analytics-ready data models and support AI/ML initiatives. Prior experience with SAP and Kafka is beneficial.
