SLB PR is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Pune, Maharashtra. In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical design of components and assemblies for surface or downhole products, contributing to both sustaining and new product development initiatives. You will develop and review manufacturable drawings using 3D modeling software such as Creo or SolidWorks, adhering to standard modeling and detailing practices. Your work will involve utilizing PLM platforms like Windchill for product lifecycle management, conducting detailed engineering calculations, and defining testing procedures. You will also coordinate testing, document results, and participate in technical design reviews. This position requires planning, coordination, and management of engineering work, potentially involving the modification of existing approaches or the development of new techniques with a focus on continuous improvement. Effective communication through presentations to technical and management audiences is essential. You will contribute to design standards, support design re-use, and author/co-author technical documentation. Sharing expertise across various organizational domains and adhering to company policies, including Health, Safety, and Environment standards, are key aspects of this role. Successful completion of required safety training is mandatory.
