Straive is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Mumbai, Maharashtra. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable insights. You will design and build robust data pipelines, curate data for our in-house data warehouse, and create data marts to ensure efficient consumption by business and IT stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include: * Analyzing internal and external data sources to generate BI and Advanced Analytics datasets aligned with stakeholder needs. * Designing and implementing data pipelines to curate sourced data into our central data warehouse. * Developing data marts for streamlined dataset consumption. * Designing and implementing data model changes adhering to data warehouse standards. * Defining and executing migration activities from existing database solutions to our in-house data warehouse. * Performing regular housekeeping of raw data and data within the warehouse. * Building and maintaining data pipelines and platforms. * Creating data solution prototypes and exploring enhancements for data quality and reliability. * Identifying opportunities to acquire superior data. * Developing analytical tooling to support BI and Advanced Data Analytics. * Executing data migrations from existing databases. * Promoting data engineering standards and best-in-class methodologies.
**Required Skills & Qualifications:** * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline from a top-tier university. * AWS Data Engineer Specialty or AWS Solution Architect Associate certification. * 7+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role, with a preference for financial industry experience. * Strong understanding or practical experience with an Enterprise Agile Framework (e.g., Kanban, SAFe, SCRUM). * Deep knowledge of ETL, data warehousing, BI (Qlik), and Advanced Data Analytics concepts. * Expertise in cloud technologies, including AWS RDS and AWS Fargate. * Proficient with databases and data warehouses such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL. * Advanced programming skills in Java and/or Python. * Practical experience with ETL tools like AWS Glue. * Excellent critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. * Strong communication and teamwork skills.
