Quest Global is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. In this role, you will be responsible for creating electrical schematics, layout designs, and cable generation using SEE Electric software, adhering to industry standards. You will also convert legacy machine schematics for upgrades, generate comprehensive part and cable lists, and perform critical power calculations for disconnectors, transformers, circuit breakers, and thermal cabinet calculations. A key part of this position involves selecting appropriate breakers, sensors, drives, motors, and safety devices to meet required safety integrity levels (SIL). You will manage the replacement of obsolete electrical parts while ensuring form, fit, and function compatibility. Document creation, revision, and release within Team Center are also essential. You will support RFQ processes and project execution, conduct kickoff meetings with stakeholders, and perform self and team quality checks to ensure accuracy. Excellent oral and written English communication is required. Proficiency in French is a plus. You will collaborate effectively with global engineering teams, mentor colleagues on communication strategies, and demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills. The ability to manage project timelines and mentor the team on project management is crucial. An innovative mindset focused on continuous improvement, leading and mentoring the team, will be highly valued. You will execute projects efficiently with a small team, ensuring high-quality outcomes through leadership and mentorship.

**Required Experience & Skills:** * Strong knowledge of Electrical Standards (IEC 60617, IEC 61439-1/-2, IEC 61508/61511 - SIL) * Understanding of Pneumatic symbols * Hands-on experience in Low Voltage control panel design and Automation control panels for SPM * Experience in conceptual schematic architecture and electrical design calculations * Proficiency in schematic, single line drawings, layout, and BOM (Part list & Cable list) * Good understanding of global Electrical codes (IEC, UL, NEC, NFPA) * Familiarity with electrical components, sensors, PLCs, servo drives, and motors * Knowledge of AB and Siemens PLCs and HMIs * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools * Experience with Electrical CAD/EPLAN/SEE-Electrical * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to upgrade legacy machines.
**Qualifications:** BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Instrumentation, or Electronics and Communication.
