L&T Technology Services is seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Java Developer to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. You will play a key role in the development of our cloud-based web applications. This position requires a solid understanding of Java, J2EE, and cloud technologies, with a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver software solutions adhering to specifications and design guidelines.
- Design, develop, and unit test web or desktop applications using Java, J2EE, AJAX, and Web Services.
- Analyze requirements and assess their impact on existing applications.
- Collaborate effectively with team members.
- Contribute to scope estimates and technical specifications.
**Required Skills & Experience (3-5 years):**
- Strong proficiency in JAVA and J2EE within a cloud environment.
- Expertise in JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, SQL, Spring Boot, JUnit, JSON, and REST/JSON web services.
- Solid Object-Oriented design skills and MVC understanding.
- Proficient Git experience for project management (branching, tagging, merging).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Proficiency in Java development tools like Eclipse and Maven.
**Desired Skills:**
- Experience with Azure or AWS cloud (PaaS) and Java.
- Strong business application design capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong debugging abilities.
- Interest in building security into applications from the design phase.
- Experience with technical documentation and task time estimations.
