Celestica is seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our team in Guindy, Chennai, India. In this role, you will be instrumental in the design, development, debugging, testing, deployment, and support of software solutions for complex systems and products. You will work across the full software hierarchy, from firmware to application layers, utilizing various common programming languages. Adhering to established development processes such as Agile and Scrum, and complying with product life cycle deliverables, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, project leadership, and customers, to ensure the delivery of robust, high-quality products. Your responsibilities will include leading technical solution design for intricate projects, participating in project planning, and providing technical direction. You will analyze complex system trade-offs, develop deployment strategies, and lead deployment efforts. Additionally, you will design and develop tests and test-automation suites, and build processing platforms using configuration management technologies. This position requires strong project management skills, including financial acumen and the ability to manage project timelines and budgets. You will also be expected to mentor other engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
