Software Development Manager, Hyderabad

Solera is a global leader transforming the vehicle lifecycle with data and software services. We also protect homes and digital identities. We are seeking a dynamic Software Development Manager to lead multiple squads of Software Development Engineers in Hyderabad.

In this role, you will be responsible for guiding your teams to build scalable, maintainable, secure, and high-performance web and enterprise applications. You will establish clear objectives, define metrics for success, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software. You will foster a collaborative Agile environment, mentor your team, and troubleshoot technical challenges.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading squads to deliver optimal technical solutions.
• Defining and monitoring performance metrics.
• Resolving technical impediments.
• Providing leadership, direction, and coaching.
• Collaborating with other managers and the Architecture team on new designs.
• Proposing process and technology improvements.
• Translating system requirements into actionable tasks.
• Identifying and resolving code issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Maintaining code quality and architecture.
• Conducting code reviews.
• Coordinating with Engineering leadership, Product Management, Agile, and Design teams.
• Managing team deployments and CI/CD pipelines.

We are looking for candidates with:

• 5+ years of hands-on software development lifecycle experience (coding, reviews, production support).
• Minimum 3 years of Management or Technical Lead experience.
• Proficiency in Java, REST, SOAP, and application performance tuning.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and workflows.
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design and Micro-service architectures.
• Familiarity with SQL Server, NoSQL, and/or Oracle Databases.
• Expertise in API design.
• Strong knowledge of Business-Driven Design and Test-Driven Development.
• Experience developing middleware applications with various database types and cloud hosting.
• Background in performance engineering and educating teams on non-functional requirements.
• Middleware and security experience, including vulnerability remediation.
• A strong background in the PaaS space is preferred.
