Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking a Software Engineer to join our PTX Series Routers Packet Forwarding team in Bengaluru. This team develops the core software responsible for high-speed data packet forwarding on HPE's advanced routers and switches, powering critical global networks including public cloud, service providers, and mobile networks.
As a Software Engineer, you will architect and develop packet forwarding features for PTX Series Routers, focusing on areas like IPv4/IPv6, multicast, MPLS, tunnels, BFD, and L3VPN. You will design and implement complex algorithms with clean, maintainable code, develop detailed functional specifications, and contribute to software system architecture. Your role will also involve software maintenance, including problem analysis and code modification, and collaborating with Product Line Managers and Test Teams to deliver high-quality networking products.
This is an onsite role, with the expectation of primarily working from our HPE office in Bengaluru.
