Senior Performance Test Engineer - Software Engineering

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Senior Performance Test Engineer to join our Consumer and Community Banking team in Hyderabad / Secunderabad, Telangana. In this role, you will be a key member of an agile team, responsible for designing and delivering high-quality, secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You will drive critical technology solutions across various business functions, contributing to the firm's objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing end-to-end performance testing and engineering solutions for diverse applications and projects.
• Developing, designing, and executing performance tests using tools like JMeter, BlazeMeter, Hammer, and Cyara, while understanding workload models.
• Ensuring application scalability and reliability by identifying and resolving bottlenecks using tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, and Splunk.
• Collaborating with development and operations teams to optimize application performance and resource utilization, implementing real-time performance monitoring solutions.
• Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative environments to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Improving the reliability and repeatability of performance testing processes.
• Gaining experience in performance testing for containerized applications using Kubernetes to ensure optimal cloud environment performance.
• Proactively identifying hidden problems and data patterns to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contributing to software engineering communities of practice and events focused on emerging technologies.
• Implementing deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ensuring accessibility and security compliance.
• Applying Agile methodologies to manage and deliver performance engineering projects efficiently.

**Required Qualifications:**

• 3+ years of applied experience in software engineering concepts, with formal training or certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with experience in performance engineering.
• Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and proficiency in performance testing and monitoring tools (JMeter, BlazeMeter, Hammer, Cyara, Grafana, CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace).
• Experience with AWS/cloud computing, Kubernetes, and scripting/programming in Java/Python.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
• Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a discipline (e.g., cloud, AI, ML).
• Exposure to cloud technologies; AWS Cloud Practitioner certification is a plus.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Experience with Amazon Connect is an advantage.
