Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Funding and Capital Liquidity (FCL) team, supporting critical financial risk, liquidity, and treasury processes. In this role, you will design, build, and enhance metadata-driven, scalable, high-performance data engineering platforms. You'll collaborate with technology, risk, and business partners to deliver robust data solutions meeting stringent performance, resiliency, and regulatory compliance standards.
Key responsibilities include leading complex technical initiatives, contributing to strategic planning, and executing the full software development lifecycle (design, code, test, debug, document). You will resolve challenging technical issues and guide less experienced team members. This role offers an opportunity to influence technology and SME skill development within the team and take ownership of work originating from the India team.
We are looking for engineers with strong experience in Java, React, or Python, hands-on experience with distributed systems, and expertise in big data technologies like Apache Spark and Hadoop. A solid understanding of data modeling, metadata management, and performance optimization is essential. Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and a background in financial services are highly desirable. Familiarity with Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts, Generative AI models, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and agentic frameworks will be a significant advantage.
