Siemens PLM Software is seeking an experienced Senior Service Automation Engineer for our Chennai location. This customer-facing role requires a strong technical background in PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS systems, coupled with extensive field service experience. You will be responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance for our automation solutions. Providing remote and on-site technical support to customers, ensuring minimal downtime, and maintaining high customer satisfaction are key aspects of this position. The role involves diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, executing maintenance plans, and offering support during system start-ups and optimizations. You will also identify opportunities for service sales, such as AMCs, spare parts, and digitalization upgrades, and collaborate with sales and service teams. This position requires the ability to work independently and proactively communicate with customers. Significant travel (70-80%) within Tamil Nadu and Kerala is expected, along with availability for urgent customer needs on short notice.
