Siemens Energy is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer with a focus on GIS configuration to join our team in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. In this role, you will be responsible for developing technically and cost-optimized GIS primary configurations (e.g., Double BB / 1.5 CB D-type, I-type), ensuring they meet MRE requirements and standards. You will work closely with development teams, create detailed 3D models and drawings using Creo, and integrate designs into the AGILE LCM system. The position also involves generating Bill of Materials (BOMs) within the AGILE system.
We are looking for individuals with approximately 5+ years of experience in R&D or engineering within large electrical/HV switchgear manufacturing organizations. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is a prerequisite. You should possess sound knowledge of configuration requirements based on IEC 62271-203, customer configurations, compensation techniques, and service continuity. Familiarity with building layout, section plans, bay layouts, secondary cable layouts, earthing layouts, and static structural/thermal simulation tools like ANSYS is essential. Proficiency in creating 3D models of large assemblies and BOMs in Creo, along with drawing creation and AGILE system integration, is required. Strong MS Office skills, digitalization aptitude, a proactive mindset, and excellent time management are also key. Join us in shaping the future of energy and making a real difference.
