Actalent is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru / Bangalore, Karnataka. In this role, you will be instrumental in architecting and reviewing system integration designs for residential energy storage systems. You will collaborate closely with electrical, firmware, mechanical, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure the delivery of highly integrated, production-ready designs.
Your responsibilities will include defining critical systems specifications and partnering with cross-functional engineering teams to achieve product development milestones. You will provide technical mentorship, conduct design reviews, and contribute to team development. Additionally, you will support feedforward from existing products to enhance system design for new product development.
We require a BSEE or MSEE with 10+ years of experience in relevant engineering development or a similar field. A strong background in electronics design, embedded systems, and/or mechanical engineering is essential, along with hands-on lab experience in validation, debugging, and test automation tools. Familiarity with design constraints for thermal, safety, and manufacturability, along with a proven track record of cross-functional execution in new product development, is expected. Experience with design documentation best practices and with high-quality, high-reliability products for long warranty, high-stress environments is also required.
Preferred qualifications include experience with energy systems, IoT devices, or embedded hardware in regulated environments, as well as exposure to compliance testing (UL/IEC/EMC) and design transfer to contract manufacturing. Technical knowledge in Electrical Engineering, Firmware Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, and technical leadership experience debugging and solving complex systems problems are a plus.
