NatWest Group is seeking a highly experienced Vice President to join our Software Engineering team in Bengaluru. In this critical role, you will lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of robust software solutions, contributing across the entire system lifecycle. You'll leverage your expertise in full-stack development to build resilient, long-lived software and drive innovation through experimentation and prototyping. This position involves working within a permanent feature team, developing deep platform knowledge across business, applications, data, and infrastructure disciplines. You will collaborate closely with principal engineers, architects, and stakeholders to understand platform functionality and its alignment with business objectives. Key responsibilities include applying Agile methodologies, producing intentional architecture and emergent designs, and focusing on the automation of build, test, and deployment processes. We are looking for candidates with a strong background in software design and implementation, complex requirements analysis, and a proven ability to lead the adoption of programming best practices, particularly around scalability, automation, and performance for Python and Java. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, databases, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and containers is essential. Excellent collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills are vital to translate complex technical concepts into pragmatic business solutions within the financial sector.
