Societe Generale Global Solution Centre is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Automation Testing for our Bengaluru office. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding functional requirements, estimating work effort, and providing technical designs for complex requirements. You will actively participate in Agile ceremonies including daily scrums, iteration planning, and retrospectives. Your duties will involve meticulously reviewing designs, test cases, and code, alongside coding, unit testing, and integration testing.
We are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and a solid foundation in Core Programming and Object-Oriented design. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in C#, WCF, and WPF is required, along with strong .NET fundamentals and threading concepts. Familiarity with operating systems like Windows is essential. Working knowledge of SQL Server/Oracle/Sybase (SQL & T-SQL/PL SQL) is expected, with optimization skills being a significant advantage. Experience with .NET versions 3.5 and above is required.
Previous experience in Thunderhead, WCF, multi-threading, and Silverlight is highly desirable. Expertise in high-level and low-level design using UML & Design Patterns is also preferred. Knowledge of the Reactive Extension framework is a plus. Experience in investment banking is considered a strong asset. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of software development focused on delivering high-quality software products, including experience creating and executing unit tests using a test-driven approach with frameworks like MbUnit or NUnit. Familiarity with open-source tools and automated testing methodologies is key.
