NatWest Group is seeking a highly experienced Vice President, Software Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, testing, and implementing robust software solutions. You will work within a permanent feature team, gaining deep knowledge of our platforms across business, applications, data, and infrastructure. Collaborating with principal engineers, architects, and stakeholders, you will ensure our platform effectively supports business objectives. We embrace Agile methodologies, focusing on creating resilient, long-lived software and intentional architecture with emergent design through innovation and prototyping. A key aspect of this role involves designing and developing software with a strong emphasis on automating build, test, and deployment processes.
We are looking for a technically adept individual with at least 15 years of experience in full-stack software design and implementation. You will leverage your deep Java expertise, including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, REST API design, secure coding, Domain-Driven Design, and clean architecture principles. A proven track record in designing and building scalable, resilient microservices and event-driven architectures using Kafka is essential. You should have hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like GCP, adhering to cloud-native principles. Proficiency in CI/CD automation, comprehensive testing, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack is required. This leadership position also demands demonstrated technical leadership through mentoring, driving architectural decisions, resolving complex issues, and strong stakeholder management and communication skills, enabling you to convey intricate technical concepts clearly.
