NatWest Group is seeking a driven Associate Vice President (AVP) Software Engineer for our Bengaluru/Bangalore location. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your extensive technical expertise and build a strong network of stakeholders across varying levels of seniority. You will engineer and maintain innovative, customer-centric, high-performance, secure, and robust software solutions.
In this role, you will: * Engineer complex software, scripts, and tools within a feature team, collaborating with engineers, architects, and business analysts. * Rapidly produce high-quality, business-value-adding software. * Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from initial development through maintenance and decommissioning. * Optimize software engineering capabilities through collaboration. * Design, develop, test, and implement working code. * Participate in all phases of the lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations.
We are looking for candidates with: * Minimum nine years of experience in software design and implementation. * Proven ability to solve complex technical problems using modern programming languages. * Strong hands-on experience with React, Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript for building scalable, maintainable, and high-quality applications. * Demonstrated capability in complex requirements analysis, translating business and system needs into robust technical solutions. * Excellent collaboration skills, with experience working closely with business teams to deliver value-driven solutions. * Solid experience applying information security policies and best practices, ideally within financial services. * Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
