Societe Generale Global Solution Centre is seeking a skilled Java Software Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. You will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), adhering to Agile and software craftsmanship principles. This includes independently developing high-quality, reusable code, writing test cases, and participating in team ceremonies. You will collaborate with geographically distributed teams to deliver functionality as per requirements, and provide level 2/3 production support. Experience with microservices architecture using Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Cloud, along with RESTful APIs, is essential. Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Kibana, SonarQube, and GitHub is required. A strong understanding of enterprise application development, high availability, and databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL is expected. Knowledge of cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS is also a plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are necessary for this role. Certifications in Java/J2EE, Middleware, or Cloud technologies are highly preferred.
