Barclays is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join their Pune-based team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining robust infrastructure platforms and products that power applications and data systems. You'll leverage hardware, software, networks, and cloud computing to ensure our infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure.
We are looking for individuals with strong proficiency in RDBMS database technologies (Oracle, Postgres, MSSQL), Java, and experience with cloud and database migrations. A solid understanding of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices is essential, along with experience using configuration management tools like Ansible.
Valued additional skills include experience with event bus products such as Kafka, Python programming, and expertise in testing methodologies like TDD and BDD, as well as test automation. The ability to assess and integrate third-party products and a good understanding of vendor evaluation best practices are also beneficial. Certifications in relevant technologies are a plus.
